Is Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco the Coolest Drink on the Planet?

Prosecco is certainly having a moment. In the UK it’s overtaken Champagne as the sparkling wine of choice, and its sales internationally are increasing while those for traditional Champagne are falling.  150 million bottles of Prosecco are produced annually, and while not all are Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco (though watch this space!) we are experiencing phenomenal growth.

Our success is Prosecco’s success. For too many years exported Prosecco was the Italian’s leftovers: if they wouldn’t drink it they knew that the UK market would. And this lack of quality was why Prosecco lolled in the doldrums for so long. The UK is the world’s second biggest Prosecco market, and unsurprisingly it’s the Italians in first place.

Now that we’re getting the good stuff there is an awareness of what the best Prosecco should taste like: fresh, ready to party and full of floral flavours. Which is Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco in a crystal flute.

We recently launched at the Runnymede Hotel, which sits on the Thames near Windsor. It’s got it all: a spa, large grounds, two restaurants and a stunning lounge for afternoon tea.

The Runnymede team are huge Prosecco fans, and put their passion into words in a feature all about sparkling wine. You can find out why they think Thomson & Scott Skinny Prosecco is the coolest drink on the planet, and why you should come and try us on the Runnymede’s wine list.  Click here.
